It’s amazing how disruptive one small malfunction can be — this morning, working from my home office, I’m having trouble keeping my VPN connection going, and I just upgraded my email software to a new version. I’ve lost my connection to our shared server several times, so I had to back up, log back in, and then save a local copy of the spreadsheet I’m editing. And the newest version of Thunderbird is a little tweaky; details are off from what I expect, the notifications and popups are different, and it’s crashed twice in half an hour.
Neither problem is earth-shattering or unsurmountable, but those little problems can just eat your day. Since I’ve only got ’til noon to finish this project, I need to stop dwelling on the little problems, I think.
They’re just so annoying!
